Can't stop starring at the radar down there. Look at the movement of the moisture. It's just west to East and so far south and enough cold to make it snow down near New Orleans now!


In fact New Orelans reporting sleet.


I see 1-2" accumulated in Southern Mississippi too. Impressive!

Just north of Baton Rouge, LA. 2" snowpack. Looks fluffy too. Wow.

Past 4 hours Radar loop 2-6am.


1-2" of new snow fell near Atlanta area.
2-3" around Montgomery Alabama.
Trace of snow sleet and ice on Florida panhandle.







And here's the Northeast. Only raining on Long Island and NYC so far and here. Hills of NorthWest NJ and CT have 5-8" on the ground.

Snowfall total forecast .


Didn't expect to see this.. 4-8" expected in North Carolina there?





Less for I-95 and coasts now since it was too warm at the start of the precip. Interior should do well. Already seeing 2-5" on the ground in areas of NY and CT




Current Radar 7amEST. Snowing from Georgia to Maine.

Atlanta cars are sliding all over the place. Temps are in the Teens and 20s down to the coast from Texas, LA, MS, AL, FL panhandle.

Down to 13F here at 7 AM with wind chill of 3F! High today of only 33F. Snow will probably stay throughout the day.
