They must have had some bad BO though lol

Odds forecast for today is 83F mostly dry. Tomorrow mid 80s but with possible severe storms in the evening. Could hit 90F on Tuesday before cool weather settles in later next week

Of course. AC is very common throughout the US In the Midwest out of 26 million homes 24.4 million had AC in 2015.
Interesting, was just reading about other humid locations and AC use does not always seem to be as prevalent

Australia can get pretty damn hot in the summer, too.

Even the shantiest shacks have A/C in my part of the US.

^^

Back in the late 80s early 90s none of my relatives in Greece had AC. Now all of them do.

Why the heck not? Heat kills. The vast majority of heat related deaths in the 1995 heatwave here were poor elderly in the inner city who had no AC

Been stormy here today lots of clouds don't think we'll reach the forecast high. Only 76F at ORD 78F at MDW and 79F here.

Maybe severe storms tomorrow morning

To be honest, I find it kinda interesting for Chicago because nobody has ac where I live. Neither do I.

I sweat at home during summer and even very much sometimes really but still, having ac would be seen as a luxury thing here. Neither İzmit nor Chicago are like Antalya or Adana in summer, where AC would be a real need. That's my opinion only

Izmir summer temps are similar to Chicago.

AC here it's not a luxury. Every single home built after 1960 was built with central air conditioning. It used to be a luxury in Greece too but now all my relatives have AC.

Sun is finally coming out now
Latest GFS isn't nearly as cool here as it was in yesterday's runs for next week.. I heard Joe Bastardi saying that he thinks there will be "endless summer" for much of the US through the month of September. Hope he is right

Today I drove to Tucumcari because I've never been to New Mexico before. It was very hot and dry. The temperature was 101 F (38.5 C) with a dew of 37 F (3 C). For a while it was cloudy and it felt weird being warmed by the air with no sun or humidity.

Well, the US is more than twice as rich as Turkey when looking at per capita GDP (adjusting for PPP) and that probably has something to do with it.
