Also, this doesn't just apply to the weather forum. Some of the state forums are the same way. They're full of people complaining they don't like the state. Florida comes to mind. A lot of those people are people that never should have moved to Florida in the first place and they want everyone to hate Florida just as much as they do.

It's hard for me to imagine hating Florida... seeing palm trees everywhere and never having to scrape ice or snow off your car or bundle up in warm clothes in the winter sounds like my kind of place...

For me, I've always been fascinated by weather and the fact that there are places in the world that it never snows has always fascinated me... I've always dreamed to live in a place since I was a child that I would never have to see another snowflake because as a kid here, whenever it snowed, school was often cancelled and most people stayed inside instead of going out and it was never fun... and so I thought, wouldn't it be nice to live in a place where that was never a problem....

Others do come here to brag about their city's climate actually.

Coming from this poster, understatement of the century...

Yeah I think I actually do more bragging than complaining. Kentucky is not a bad climate, just not the best.

Most children don't consider it to be a 'problem' when school is cancelled due to snow.

On the contrary, now that winter is over and the [awful] warmth has returned, I'm finding myself posting significantly less. At the end of February, my average number of posts per day was 12.77, and now it has dropped down to 9.66, so the numbers speak for themselves. In July I'll probably be posting negligibly (probably only to complain about the heat ), and at the start of next winter I'll start up again.
