I've only seen a coyote down here once. It was probably a young pup. It came into our backyard and laid by a salt block we have out there. He was there for 45 minutes to an hours, napping rolling around on his back. When we first saw him laying there we thought something was wrong with him, but eventually he got up walked around a little then came and laid down again. He played with a little broken branch, then laid down again. We were watching him with binoculars wondering what was wrong with him. Finally he just got up and trotted off.
We used to see foxes more often. In fact we had a fox den among some boulders but one of our neighbors has a lot of feral cats, I think they crowded the foxes out by taking away their food supply.

Seen a few fox deer gun season and nice bushy full coats. I wonder if the fischer may not be pushing them out also.

It wouldn't surprise me, tho I haven't seen any fishers around here. Too much competition for food, the foxes, coyotes, fisher and feral cats.

Last day of T-Zone and pouring rain. Did not go Thursday-Saturday as had surgery and planned to go today. Not even trying roads as to slippery.

Raining here too. We have had 3-4 does in our yard every night. My brother in law is up for T zone but no one else is out.

This rain/ice and now our artic winds will make it bad for everything out there now. Any wounded will be easy coyote bait now.
Hope brother-in-law got his tag filled.
