Pardon my ignorance, but what does this mean?
Hi send me a PM

Later tonight I can write more in depth.

Multiple agencies trying to fill a single position is thr norm in IT. Typically, I get contacted by 4-6 headhuunters for a single position.

So I aborted (I'm only seeking direct hires).
You may want to reconsider the employment agencies. I used to be of the same "only direct hires" mentality... until I was laid off and out of work for quite a while.

At that point I decided to be a bit more flexible, and the job search I did last May turned up a good aerospace job with a Boeing contractor that started with a temp agency... the promise was "perm in 90-120 days."

It actually took about 140ish days from May 27th till October 17th but I got hired by the client and am very happy with the job. Glad I took the chance. I was desperate enough to move 3000 miles from GA to WA on my own dime for a job that started with a temp agency.

The roll of the dice was a success in this case.

I'm glad it worked for somebody.

But when I was unemployed, I took 2 back to back temp-to-perm jobs and neither went permanent. When my last contract was ending I was lucky to get offered the job I have now (which I hate and never wanted to begin with). But because neither job went perm, I'm skeptical about taking them again and ending up unemployed again.

I'm currently in a perm position so its much harder to take that risk.

Understandable...

I didn't really have a choice. I had just started Tier 2 and could either stay in GA till unemployment ran out or I could move and take the job.

Good thing is, after starting last May 27th I just hit 2 full quarters of work in my base year as of April 1st, 2012 (July - Sept. and Oct - Dec. 2011) so if anything were to happen in the future I would be able to start a brand new claim. Not that I expect that to happen... but it's refreshing to know that WA's max benefit is $583 compared to GA's $330. Unemployment was a nightmare that I don't ever care to revisit but should it happen in the future I'm in a better state.

Good luck to you.
