I was given a job offer verbally and they told me to email my response. I did 2 days after and told them I'm accepting, but I never got a reply back. Moderator cut: snip
Do I still count on hearing back from them? I really hope they're not bull****ting me. From my experience, it's been difficult to get any follow-ups from them. I just wish they would just straight-out tell me what's going on or if I'm no longer a candidate. It's better than just waiting around and still hoping to hear back. It's just super frustrating because I passed up opportunities just for this one! Anyone had a similar experience?

Sorry, but it's time to move on. This particular company is insulting you by stringing you along and doesn't have their act together enough to tender an offer properly.
If they do that now, it's only going to go downhill from here.
I would send an email to this "hiring manager" letting them know that you are regretfully withdrawing your name from consideration, as they obviously do not value you - or your time - as a prospective employee.
Their conduct as you describe it is highly unprofessional. And never "wait around" or stop applying for other positions until you have a firm written offer. Good luck!
yeah, i agree with everyone else - it sucks to turn something down, especially if you really need the job, but do you really want to work for a place that is already treating you like this? it'd be one thing if there was a delay but they were being conscientious and keeping you updated, but the fact that you have to push them for information and they're being vague with you is a bad sign.
This is when a company is supposed to be on its best behavior- at the very beginning. If they're pulling this stunt now, I wonder what delights await you if they manage to get their act together and have you start.

I agree with above. I had a situation where I was getting strung along (and am theoretically still getting strung along). I've since had other interviews with other companies that dropped everything to interview me and accommodate my schedule and have gone out of their way to keep me updated on the status. The treatment you are describing, even if they are being truthful, is not, in my opinion, the behavior or a company that will value as an employee. Keep them on the back burner, but continue looking.
If I hadn't gotten strung along by this employer, I would have never explored the other three options I'm looking at right now, so in hindsight I view it as a blessing. Didn't so much at the time, but with some distance and perspective you may find you think the same.
