Every McDonalds franchise has a half-dozen positions that pay a decent living wage, and there are plenty of stores out there. Those who really deserve to make more than minimum wage have plenty of opportunity to do so if they care to do so.
Agreed.
I know a gal that worked at Mickey D's while in high school. Upon graduation, she took some business classes at a nearby community college while still working part time there.
The store manger took notice and sent her off to Hamburger University (or whatever McD's calls their management trainee program), and after a few years of stupid hours and horrendous schedules.....she became a regional manager for the same outfit.
Big bucks right there.
I'll have to look her up.....I wouldn't be surprised if she owned a few stores by now.....
What world do some of you people live in...... Some of you think it is just easy to get another job like ABC.....No!!!!!! I've been looking for another job now for a year, and havent been able to land nothing. Yes, Im currently employed but looking for a new challenge. It's very hard for some people.

And not thats its worth anything these days...But I have a BA.
You haven't been able to land "anything."
May I suggest that you work on your vocabulary. Especially for interviews. I'm guessing that your B.A. was not in English.
Never understood why so many people give that advice like it's something easy to do
Exactly. They think people can just easily pickup and move to an area of the US where the unemployment rate is low. Don't they know that it takes money to move. I mean you can't move for free.
I don't expect anything to be handed to me. But what I would like is a fair chance to interview to better myself.
It's easy to sit back and "blame" hiring managers/companies/HR for not granting you interviews. I've been there, and I've had to adjust my tactics to get my proverbial foot in the door.
Take a step back and analyze how you're doing things and see how you could do things better.

It's not easy.
Downright scary too.
Look, I did it. I had to work my butt off to do it. Not to mention the stress & worry that goes along with a transcontinental relocation.
Went from a homeowner to being a renter. Moved away from family and friends, not to mention a different climate.
All for a 20% raise.
Looking back, I made the best decision of my life.......so far.
