If you watch some of those travel shows that depict exotic places you will find that most of Southeast Asia is gorgeous. Actually this thread has an impossible mission......there is no one most beautiful country. There are too many candidates to pick one.
Europe for man-made and Southeast Asia for God-made.
Every country has its unique beauty. At least, if you can take a look at a country without any prejudices, you will find many beautiful things in this country. I have been to many countries in Europe, Asia and America. And each of them were very interesting. But, in my opinion, the most beautiful country is Russia. Mine:
1- Italy- Alps, Tuscany, Lakes( like Como), Volcanos, Stunning cities.
2-Chile: Aliene like scenery( San Pedro de Atacama), Andes, Lake district, a lot of volcanos, and fjords
3-Indonesia: Spectacular beaches, strange rock formations, volcanic islands, feels very exotic
4- Mexico: Desert, stunning "playas", mountains, scary high volcanos, a lot of canyons
5- USA: Vast, lush green, to desert, to canyons, to inexplicable sceneries(Utah), mountains, volcanos, and volcanic beaches.
1. Italy (for me as well)
2-5 (in no particular order) Norway, USA, Canada, Switzerland
6. A grab bag that, among other places and countries, would include parts of China, Spain, Morocco, Mexico, the Dalmatian Coast, Greece (including Santorini), and Ireland.
For me, Italy has to be #1. Between the volcanos, the lakes, the alps, and the sea Italy is amazing. The prettiest place I've been in the world was Taormina and I've traveled a lot. The Amalfi Coast is very special too, I don't know of anywhere else where the mountains rise so abruptly from the sea. All in all, it's really hard to match Italy.
