Cairo has the worst driving that I have ever seen as well as the most accidents that I have witnessed. Madras was perhaps scarier, but traffic was generally slower due to the animals and foot traffic clogging the roads.

The worst thing about Cairo for me though is how long it takes to get anywhere. Naturally cities of over 10 million take up quite a bit of space, but it seems as though just about every ride takes more than an hour.

Haven't been to or driven in all cities in the world, so I have no clue which is the worst.

But from a subjective point of view: Rome is horrible. Hamburg too. Paris is almost as bad. Cairo (and all Egyptian cities I've been to) are outrageously bad.

3 weeks ago I would have said Anchorage is bad, but now that I'm in Houston, TX, I will never complain about traffic in Alaska ever again. Ever...

Yeah, I'll second that. Even in the US I can think of at least a dozen cities that are worse to drive in than Los Angeles.

Where's Auckland, New Zealand? Lovely people, except when they're driving!!!!!!!
