Description: The playground here isn’t just another collection of swings and slides. Local kids worked with an architect to design it, and it was built by local volunteers, including kids, in 1996. You’ll find an area with a sandbox and smaller equipment just for tots as well as swings, slides, monkey bars, a tire swing, and other fun equipment for older children. A wooden fence encloses the entire playground. When you’re played out, soak your feet in Spearfish Creek, which runs along the west side of the park. City Park is on the south end of town.
