Violation: 1570 - Repeat The sneezeguard protection device at one of the Steam Table was observed in a state of disrepair and damaged. Repair/replace the broken sneezeguard to a state of condition that will allows for proper/easy cleaning.
Comments:
Found some improvements made. Additional work will need to be done to clean floors in back area that are soiled/sticky. Other things to gradually work on include : (1) removal of carpet from the washrooms located in the banquet area; (2) replacement of the broken sneezeguard protection device at one of the steam table unit; and (3) cleaning of areas that are hard to reach such as areas behind and underneath equipment. Noted that the Food Permit Renewal fees were recently paid and a Food Permit was issued today.

0650 - The food on display in the Steam Table was not adequately protected from contamination. Provide adequate sneezeguard protection device or reposition the existing sneezeguard to properly protect the displayed foods from customer's sneeze/contamination etc.
0830 - Critical The prepared ready-to-eat (RTE) foods in the refrigeration unit were not properly dated for disposition. Mark the name and "consume by" date on the container of RTE foods at the time of preparation if the food is to be held for more than 24 hours. If the food is held at 41F or below the food shall be served or sold within 7 calendar days. Some harmful bacteria continue to grow even at refrigeration temperatures so limiting the amount of time in storage limits the amount of growth allowed for these bacteria.

Food Permit has expired. Food Permit renewal fees are still outstanding and must be paid prior to the re-issuance of a Food Permit. A re-inspection will be made within 10 days. Discussion with the owner was had regarding the cleaning up of the premises and that attention should be made to cleaning under equipment and equipment surfaces. Also discussed was pest control on the premises(a pest control company comes once per month).
