So on the lighter side, was walking about Lake Union (fairly close to downtown Seattle) on Sunday 9/7/2014. Circumnavigating is about a 6 mile hike. I love urban hikes in the Fall especially, sometimes into Winter when weather cooperates. Edit: someone already created such a Meetup group, RE urban hikes and mass transit, which I have since joined.

There are boat slips to see fun stuff on the Westlake side, plus a seaplane terminal that does a brisk business out to the San Juan...

History Being Made In Frisco Sports

This fall, there will be no shortage of firsts in Frisco, Texas, high school sports. I was witness to just one of those firsts last night.

Wakeland High School's Wolverines were playing the Lone Star Rangers in high school football for the very first time ever on Thursday night. Now, to preface, Lone Star opened its doors four years ago, but has been assigned to a lower UIL classification due to a lower enrollment than other schools in Frisco. Because of that, ...

House on Blanco Road

Posted 09-11-2014 at 06:46 PM by Basse Bud

[quote=Tom Landry Fan;22953241]Does anyone remember the big house on Blanco Road next the Dairy Queen near LaManda? I used to play baseball there on a little field someone scratched out of the back of that property. I've always wondered who owned that house. Does anyone have info on that? I don't know when it was built but it was razed in the late 1960s. Thanks.[/quote

My True Repect!

Posted 09-11-2014 at 10:46 AM by Zeurich

It is been 13 years,
Since the day two giants
fell on the ground,
took innocent lives,
make a huge disaster,
kids lost their fathers,
wives, lost their husbands,
husbands lost both,
parents lost their kids,
total devastation,
The day planes hit the towers,

words may say,
remembrance may held,
Candles will burn,
Flowers will stack,
But nothing would ease the pain,
love ones may never come back!
...

This Is My Blog

Posted 09-11-2014 at 09:51 AM by Mire

There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My blog is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
My blog, without me, is useless. Without my blog, I am useless. I must post to my blog true. I must spell check more accurately than my enemy, who is trying to outblog me. I must post to my blog before he posts to his. I will....
My blog and I know what counts on the Internet is not the words we post, the noise of our keystrokes, nor the smoke we...
