Hide My Crazy? Never!

Posted 09-13-2014 at 02:23 PM by hunterseat (Keeping it Kind)

I like Miranda Lambert. She’s feisty and she’s very soft-hearted towards animals. She has a song you may have heard about a broken hearted girl being told by her mother to basically keep up appearances for the family’s sake. I picture a girl going hysterical and her mama telling her to “hide your crazy”.

Traumatic (or dramatic?) events in our lives can clearly illustrate how close to the surface our “crazy” is. Really? You don’t think you've got any crazy in you?...

Posted 09-13-2014 at 09:02 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I just looked at the thermometer on my computer and could not believe it. And, yet, it's a welcome surprise. Now, last night, it did cool off at the high school football game, and the overcast skies and misty rains brought temps in North Texas into the 60s.

And this morning? 58 degrees. That's fifty-eight.

We just had a cold front move through the area in the last couple of days. Not a cool front; this one was classified as cold! ...

End Times

Posted 09-13-2014 at 12:32 AM by Mire

So today, I got a lecture about the rapture, and this truck driver carrying on about how, when it does happen, he hopes it's while he's not driving, because he'd like to keep his record accident free.
Now, I'm not religious, whatsoever, but I do seem to recall having read a passage which read, "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven."... that's Matthew 6:1, and, the way this...

Graveyard shift

Posted 09-12-2014 at 07:05 PM by nooshb

I'm in training for my new job. My supervisor wants me to try very shift in case one day I'm needed in that shift. To night is graveyard shift which I truly hate.
The reason I hate it is because I cannot sleep during the day. I stayed up as late as I could last night and slept till about 930 this morning.
I have a bad feeling I'm going to be so tired at work. It's an unnatural shift. It's rather inhuman to expect everybody to stay up all night. Some people can, and some people like...

ON (C-D Post): 9/11--I Kind of Wish We WOULD Forget, Too Much Security/Paranoia

To an extent, I think we should forget 9/11.

To me, THAT is life should be, and it is such a refreshing change from what I otherwise see--people flipping out if their kids play outside in their own yard for more than 5 seconds without constant supervision, people requiring you to practically have a background check just
