Good: I moved here with my mom and dad right after graduating High School in 1982. It was mostly a retiree state back then. I was not a crowded state, most of U.S. 19 was still undeveloped. The best places to go were the beaches which were lovely and unspoiled. Jobs were good. people were prospering.

Florida was about to change for the worst.

The bad: The job market and life was good in the 80's but starting in the 90's and beyond it started to go down hill. In 2003...

Sure, Texas' Rangers might have more wins than Tampa Bay's Rays, but that's just right now. We've got a little more baseball left, and like any other year, anything can happen.

Here's what I'll be picking for the last few weeks of the regular season:

Texas will collapse and miss the Wild Card. Oakland will win the American League West division at 93 wins. Tampa Bay will get one of the Wild Cards in the AL, but you won't believe who I'm picking to...
