I am surprised no one has mentioned the three mile pump at lateral 22 [now 91st ave] and Lower Buckeye. It was just south of Union school around the jog in the road and a little N. of the Salt River.


When I was growing up, one of the favorite family outings was going to the Three Mile Pump. Since the town [Tolleson] had no public swimming pool, canals in the surrounding area were the only places to go swimming. In the hot days of no A/C in cars, and primitive swamp coolers...

Just when it seemed that it might never rain again, need I remind myself that I live in Texas..............and that I'll need to wait a few minutes? Well, wait, I did, and things began to change.

Ive changed up on my routine now...

Since going to the YMCA to exercise is my high points of the week, (I do little else besides play War Commander during the week and that takes literally no physical exercion what so ever LOL), I have decided on a new routine.

Ive learned my lesson on lifting a lot of weights for very little repetitions, just cant be done by some one with a heart condition for very long, and expecting to live a good long life...just wont happen!
