Welcome to the Real World....

It's not as funny as it seems.....yet I laughed hysterically this morning with hot coffee in one hand, a dried out and cheap hand rolled cigarette in the other. Sitting on the front porch, enjoying my morning, I had my usual thoughts except one.

Usually, I would plan out my day. Sometimes I had left over procrastinates (procrastinates...sounds legit...) to thread into my routine. Sometimes I would flick out the regular weekly chores with each ash of my cigarette.

Going Up? Hotel Elevators Sure Are Slow

It's been a month since I've been in one. And next Friday, I'm going to be in another one. When it comes to hotel elevators, it seems like they were purposefully designed to make a guest wait an eternity to get to the third floor from the main lobby.

That was the experience I had in Lubbock on my recent trip, but it's not just that stop. I've had this type of thing at other places (and different chains, too) in the years I've traveled. Now, I don't have an easy...

The 80s

I graduated in 1988. We still had projectors projecting onto screens that rolled down in front of a chalk board. Don't know what a chalk board was? It was a board where the teacher wrote stuff for the class in chalk. The really cool teachers used different colors of chalk. When we wanted to watch a movie or something on video, the teacher had to request one of the very few TVs in the school be rolled down to her class for her.

And I say her because in my hometown, the vast majority...
