Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa

After leaving Northern Wisconsin's and Minnesota's GREAT Fall colors, Iowa seemed dismal, but I am certain if we lived here we would appreciate its own natural beauty. I think after seeing so much grandeur, the more subtle graces seem ordinary.

I had held some notions that Milwaukee, Duluth, or even Minneapolis might be a Mayberry for us, until the temperatures dropped down into the twenties (evening lows), and the wind speeds gained to 25 mph. Suddenly, those seemed very romantic...

First time home buyers taking advantage of tax credit

During the past few months I've seen a real increase in the number of closings I've had related to the first time buyer tax credit.

Whether I listed the property or worked with the buyer directly, this group of buyers has truly been given a gift, and many of them know it and have already benefitted from purchasing a new home and receiving their credit for $8000.

Because my niche happens to be the first time buyer, I've truly enjoyed working with them on finding housing...

Allergic to the Cold...Did you ever hear of this!!

The four year old is allergic to the cold.
I have never....you have never....but its called...Urticaria. The little one was diagnosed yesterday.
He took a trip around the block, with his bike and lots of friends, in 45 degree weather. ( occurs under 50 degrees)
His hands and arms swelled up like balloons. He got hives, his face was bright red. The doctor was called.....its Urticaria!
Now, today he had to leave an apple farm and a great tractor ride, because he was swelling...
