Posted 06-15-2009 at 04:09 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

I don't usually post a new entry so quickly after another one as I like to wait and see my view count for a given entry go up a bit before it gets lost under an avalanche of new posts but...given that I am convalescing (is that a word?) with my knee injury and that I just found a most profoundly eye opening quote...well...I figure it wouldn't hurt for me to share a new post about what I found.

The Varsity - No wonder the've been around forever!

Posted 06-15-2009 at 02:20 PM by loulamb (Lou's Rock Hill area bar and restaurant blog)

The Varsity in Rock Hill is one of those places that you wish you had tried sooner! It was always a bit of a drive until my recent move, and since breakfast places seem to be closing left and right, we decided to give this Rock Hill mainstay a try. Must say, they did not disappoint. Excellent "traditional breakfast", fairly prices, and with great service. We have a new Saturday morning favorite, with Nishie G's as a close second.

My knee gives out and I can't go anywhere...hardly.

Yesterday I woke up with soreness in my right knee. I didn't think much of it since at my age (50) various muscles and joints occasionally get sore for this or that reason.

Usually I use a muscle too much or perhaps twist the wrong way and get sore.

But this knee got worse as the day went on. I needed to go get food so I figured a walk to the Dollar Store (half hour away) would do it some good and perhaps work out the soreness.

Well...I almost fell down...

Posted 06-14-2009 at 04:57 PM by Captain Bill

Contract Ratio indicates how "hot" a market it. It specifically measures the number of active sales contracts under negotiation relative to the supply of active listings.

The higher the number the greater the buying activity relative to supply. If this number rises then it is a sign of growing contract activity and a positive signal for sellers.

Conversely a falling number is a sign of a weakening market - either supply of active listings is increasing or...
