On to the Pacific Northwest

Posted 01-22-2009 at 08:09 AM by Redhawk (The Misadventures of Redhawk)

Sadly the time to leave Alaska came sooner than I had anticipated and I will always remember the wonderful time I spent enjoying the scenic beauty and the spectacular wildlife of Southeast Alaska.

Next Stop: NW Oregon.

A fixer upper ("I am a work in progress")

Posted 01-22-2009 at 02:11 AM by PastorBill (Our move to Pueblo, CO to start Pueblo Family Church)

I think there are a lot of things that keep us from being better or making improvements in our lives. We can all agree that we have room for improvements in our lives. Maybe it is the way we treat our spouses, children, co-workers, friends, or even your neighbor (other neighbor meaning humanity). It could be to enroll into college, start a new career, attend church, give to the poor, exercise, etc. The other day I was working on a few things in our home that had broken, they were easy fixes....

Difficult days but...my faith is renewed remembering how I got here...

Posted 01-21-2009 at 09:35 PM by carlos123 (My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego)

The last couple of days have been rather difficult for me.

Yesterday I got on the buses at around 1:00 pm and did not make it back until about 6:00 pm. I spent all day trying to find window cleaning work. Carrying my bucket and squeegie everywhere I went...to no avail.

No work.

At one point I just aimlessly went around by bus. Not much caring where I went. One place was as good as any other. There just wasn't any work.

On top of that...

God saved me...

Posted 01-21-2009 at 03:41 PM by Siss_Bear

On January 5, 2009 I was admitted to the hospital for surgery. It was for a Hysterectomy, Uterine only.
Before to long though, it became much more than that, and what was routine was no more.
There was extensive scar tissue every where, encasing my Fallopian Tubes, the Uterus, through out my Intestines, attaching to my all my major organs. Encasing my life and slowly solidifying my insides, which would slowly shut me down. Draining my life from me.
When under the "knife"...

breach of contract by property managers

Posted 01-21-2009 at 02:41 PM by ninacc

If a property manager breaches a contract by lowering the monthly rent without permission from the Owner of the property, and fails to collect the security deposit, can that property manager be fired immediately?
