09 and Counting...

Posted 02-03-2009 at 10:27 AM by jjbradleynyc

I find that the new year has brought some positive changes to the job situation for me. My current company is doing much better, and I have actually made a placement. Through the entire panicked job search I went through in the fall, nothing came about, so I stuck it out here. And wow am I glad.
Even though the country is stuck in this dire economy, there are pockets of hiring (yes, hiring!!) activity to be found. I think a lot of companies are beginning to hit rock bottom just about now....

Strippers leaving the area

Posted 02-02-2009 at 01:26 PM by WestWisGuy (Getting over a Bug)

Gossip during the church coffee hour included a conversation on how some ladies that were stripping in some Mpls clubs have left our small town. "Good ridance" one would remark with disgust. Seems the parable of not pointing at someone's sliver in ther eye when they have a log in theirs falls on deaf ears. Not that I am in favor either but who am I to judge.

Glad to see this warm weather coming. Days are getting longer and a little more heat to the sun. Not near as depressing....

Updated 02-02-2009 at 01:05 PM by carlos123 (Changed "loose" to "lose"...thanks Summertime!)

I am changing the focus of this blog. Instead of focusing on the living reality of God as demonstrated by the way He provides for my daily needs in the midst of sometimes very trying circumstances, I think I will use my blog to describe every day experiences that I have in San Diego and especially my interactions with people I meet.

My relationship to God is without question the most important thing in my life. What good does it do if a person gains the whole world yet loses his...

NOVEMBER 1990 REVIEW FOR San Antonio, TX

Posted 02-01-2009 at 10:12 PM by Adam DeSilvester

I would just like to do some past research on this month typically because it is my birth month.

Basically all I have is that this month stood wet like the months starting with July 1990. However, this would be the last rainy month of the year preceding a dry December 1990. For recap, 1990 began dry with a somewhat rainy springtime. Next came along was a dry and THE WARMEST JUNE EVER since 1871. July came over eight inches of rain. August tried to build up the dry conditions again...
