As hot as things have been, you couldn't even tell that was going on if you had been in my office this afternoon. Sunny skies gave way to darker clouds and a little bit of....................rain.

Actually, there was quite a bit of rain. And with that came the gusty winds that made things look torrential, even for just a few minutes. I probably saw a total of an hour's worth in two different cells which moved through my area today. Once the rain subsided, here comes...

Two exciting and ironic baseball plays have occurred so far in the year 2022. I swear, you can't make this stuff up; it's too good.

On April 7, Seth Beer of the Arizona Diamondbacks smacked a game-winning, walk-off home run to propel his team to victory, 4-2, over the San Diego Padres in Phoenix. And here's the irony: That day was National Beer Day.

Fast-forward to May 28, where Jake Burger belts a solo homer in the fifth inning...
