You have to love America if you intend to serve in high office. It doesn't matter if it's mayor, governor, Senator, congressperson, Vice President, or President. You must love America.

Just look around you. At your state offices. Your city offices. Look at Washington, D.C. Ask yourself this: Do these officials love this country?

Those who are Patriots do. But that's it. That's as far as it goes.

- Good public library, a location with individual rooms for quiet work even better
- A USPS office with Poboxes
- At least one grocery store in the area
- Climate controlled self-storage facility
- A Park & Ride lot for travel by transit out of the area
- Access to mountains and lakes for hiking
- A gym with showers...

To bring this blog up-to-date, I'm still awaiting the closing of my west coast house. But thankfully it's approaching.

I found a fairly large property back east and am buying it sight unseen (except for pictures). The property is perfect. There are two living quarters, a house and a trailer, both of which need probably full renovation....

It's a hard lesson to learn.

Bottom line: It's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.
