I get these reputation posts with messages attached? How does one do that? When I click on the plus (+) sign I do not see where it gives me the option of leaving a comment.
Is it possible to find out who gave you a rep point with a comment? Sometimes I'd like to contact that person for further one-on-one discussion or comment, but I don't see a way to do it. In fact, sometimes I don't even get a full comment, it's cut off in mid-sentence.

Unfortunately, unless the person leaves his/her name, there's no way to know who gave you the rep .....

Actually, if it was not a visitor/guest rep then a Moderator can check and see who gave you a reputation point and/or comment even if the member did not leave a name. This is up to each individual moderator to perform this action.
If a reputation comment was left and it was a personal attack, etc. then that should be forwarded to a Moderator for follow up as this is a TOS violation.
