How is it any different from the spam Nigerian "hard case" emails you get in your inbox? Their website, which is owned by Joshua (Bam- Bam) Brown: AlaskanBushPeople.com WHOIS, DNS, & Domain Info - DomainTools is ONE MONTH AND TWO WEEKS OLD: Alaskanbushpeople : The Official Alaskan Wilderness Brown Family - Home On the website they talk about their home and their pets and all of the kids' bedrooms and all that. All of that is CURRENT in the LAST SIX WEEKS!! The Brown family - The Official Alaskan Wilderness Brown Family Whois shows the website was CREATED on 4-09-2014. The information about the family is CURRENT. They have a home and PLENTY of money. Their "mirror site" AlaskanWildernessFamily.com WHOIS, DNS, & Domain Info - DomainTools has pretty much the same information; except that it was created last November. The other site was created the first part of April of this year.
OMG I hope this is what happened to this show. The whole thing was a train wreck. These kids with the odd names, bad teeth and weird accents was just incredible.
We now find out from people that know something about Alaska and even these people that helps us understand the reality of these fake reality shows.
I do like some of the shows about Alaska where we get a look at what real Alaskans and Alaska is like. I always wanted to go see it myself and still hope to at some time. I have a friend that went up there many years ago and only came back once in awhile. He loved it there.

I'd rather watch these fake reality shows then the immoral garbage that the big three networks put out. Now if they put out shows and named them "Leave it to Beaver" or "I Love Lassie" no telling what kind of degenerate story line it would take. Even I admit Alaska Bush People was hard to watch. I'm just glad they didn't show the guys going to the The Great Alaska Bush Company to get girls. Though that might have been more believable.

Wow, why not be polite, friendly and appreciative of their interest in you and in Alaska? Being gracious is not a crime. While they may not be for you, these shows are a great source of entertainment for millions of people and are a source of much needed revenue by hundreds of participants. I can see why you have an ex.

The show is crap, if u look closely most there tools like there shovels are brand new w/ stickers still on them, theres only one old looking shovel. they are extremely unprepared for what they say there are use to. the one son runs around like Bear Grylls on a coke trip. there truck was a junker found on craigslist that didnt even last through the end of thr first filming. the father has his hands in his pockets most the time and don't do a damn thing but enjoy the sight. it's all poo tv

A regular movie or tv show is known to be fantasy/fake. They don't portray movies or tv shows as real life ( unless they are based on a true story and even then it's loosely based on a true story)

These so called " real life" tv shows are bs. Its mindless drivel. It's really sad that we as a nation are more involved in the lives of some people on some bs scripted tv show. You couldn't pay me enough to be a butt puppet used for entertainment of the general population in a reality show. I don't want to entertain millions of people.

The way I see it, if I want to waste some time watching tv, I want the actors to be better looking than me and for there to be some good, funny writing.
Reality crap tv is just not quality, so therefor not worth the time for me, though occasionally we'll watch survivor man to laugh at it (oh no, my camera equipment got wet!) heh.

Does anyone have a real info about the Brown family? I'd like to know if what we see has anything at all to do with the truth. They are depicted as being a wilderness family living off the land but their own web site indicates different. Those weird accents cant be Alaskan.
Todd Hoffmans gold show for example and now this new one about the bush babys running around in the woods. Life in Alaska is unique I know but this " reality " crap cant be too real.
I wonder what a true Alaskan would say.
There is an article in the daily newspaper in Anchorage that might prove to be interesting. It has to do with the shooting episode. If you recall, Billy gets sick and the a bunch of neighbors shows up to help build the cabin. That is 100% correct. They will do that one. However, what questioned me is that there were shots fired. If people are going to put that effort into helping you build, they most certainly won't shoot at you. What the show doesn't tell you is that the Brown's were living on a 5 acre tract of land complete with a neighbor. Yes, they had a neighbor. He denied firing any shots at the Brown's or anyone else. According to the article, no reports were made to the Alaska State Troopers either. But the neighbor did say he was tired of all the helicopters, movies crews etc.

What else isn't mentioned is the energy check. If you live in Alaska from Jan 1-Jan. 1 you get something called a energy check. It's a percentage of all the minerals like gas and gold that is sold the pervious year. It is different each year but you can sometimes get a nice little profit, especially if you have nine family members. Average is probably around $300-$500.

The reality of reality shows is that they are crap. If not they would be boring and nobody would want to watch them. However, some of what you see isn't crap. Like when the people came out and helped them build their cabin. Bartering for things you need. And yes, some of the people in the bush are a little off the grid, but take a look at people around you. At least these people in the bush are minding their own business and not bothering anybody.
