I get a little down every year here in Nebraska, but it's just something I deal with. I keep myself busy doing all the crafts I didn't do in summer, while I was out enjoying everything! I look forward to every season, and winter for me means cuddling more, crocheting more, reading all the books I wanted to but didn't because I was playing frisbee. For me, seeing what you CAN do in winter, rather than what you CAN'T do, makes it so much easier to get through.

I used to live in Fremont, NE, and I can certainly understand your depression. I loved the pheasant, duck, and goose hunting in Nebraska, but otherwise it just wasn't for me. Between the hail storms and tornadoes, I will take the active volcanoes and earthquakes in Alaska any day.
