But you are against "socialized medicine" aren't you? Why are you worried about those seniors getting govt healthcare? Since rightwing nuts don't like Medicare, you should have no issue if Obama cuts $500 billion, indeed if he abrogates the whole programme.

Gee, the distinguished economist Karl Rove, I see. Satchie Boy, what does Winnie the Pooh have to say about our fiscal policy?

For having been right all through these past 8 years, Krugman has had hate arrows thrown at him by rightwing nuts. This is from his latest blog entry -

Ooooh, Satchie Boy, I am impressed that you know someone with a doctorate. You lucky you. Can I have your autograph?

I am a conservative. Yep. One of the bad boys. I am not in the hate-slinging, mud-flinging mob that so many portray the political dinosaurs that I belong to. I am a political dinosaur because we are a necessity. I am the one saying "How much?" I am the one saying, "It sounds great, but who bells the cat?"

I know that, currently, medical care in the US is costing approximately $6,000 a head per year, and in Britain, Germany, Japan and Canada, it costs about $2000 - 2500 per head per year. I know that in those countries, medical care is a non-profit insurance. I know that there is a way to do this. And I ask, "Why can't we?" But I also think that if we follow the other countries' examples, half of those countries don't do it with taxes, but with private insurance companies (Germany for example).

I am not willing to increase our tax burden to the tune of more than $5000 per family per year. I am willing to look at other health reform programs that will maintain the indigent, the infirm and the elderly, but think that that is a stop-gap until we get something better.

But throwing names at each, and trying to tick each other off is not going to solve this problem. It will take calm, measured discussions and serious efforts at compromise. It will take us through laws and budgets taking several years to make a plan that will be the best in the end. I think we can come up with a compromise bill this year. And make it work until we get another into place that will be better. The whole point is to talk to each other. Yep, dinosaurs like me are bad boys. And the reason for the existence of liberals is to give us a conscience, be our gadflies. But even gadflies need to live in the real world. We conservative fogies are supposed to be the brakes or the governor on the engine. Conservatives are the accelerator. You need both.

When the truck is going down a 6% incline, you might want the brakes. Deal with it. LOL.

Note the distinction: Conservatives need not be necessarily Republicans. The current crop of GOP is EVIL. They have no fresh ideas, no proposals, no nothing. Their only goal is to stop Obama at any cost. In this environment, it is foolish for the Democratic party to seek consensus or bipartisanship.

I'd like to thank Classic Satch for calling me a brainless twit and telling me his wife is much more educated than I am. The reason why I am thanking you, is because you are putting me in the category of these other "brain-dead dimwits."

In 2008, Reuters reported that more than 50% of all US physicans support a national health care plan.

US doctors support universal health care - survey | Reuters

"Many claim to speak for physicians and represent their views. We asked doctors directly and found that, contrary to conventional wisdom, most doctors support national health insurance," said Dr. Aaron Carroll of the Indiana University School of Medicine, who led the study.

"As doctors, we find that our patients suffer because of increasing deductibles, co-payments, and restrictions on patient care," said Dr. Ronald Ackermann, who worked on the study with Carroll. "More and more, physicians are turning to national health insurance as a solution to this problem."

I don't have room to list all the organizations of medical professionals who support a national health plan, but I proudly join all of these uneducated morons.

I think Satch has already lost his job. Things are tough...I actually turned on the tv this morning and the news was saying that a lot of the job losses are in traditional male type jobs.

Uh, Pat, Cha Ching was responding to this mess on the first page:

One word: Lemming. I'd bet you're a member of one of those nonsensical organizations like Moveon.org, Organize for America, Center for American Progress,.... shall I go on? Copy-paste garbarge leftist websites, that's all you can do.

Your nonsensical diatribe is so laughable that I don't need to refute it.

Despicable, unintelligent ideologues like yourself are easily identifiable. Obama is on your screen...bow....chant....Teleprompter-driven rhetoric clouds your mind.....socialism.....government takeover of every facet of our lives...yes......you....can ....do ....it.

Folks, it is precisely dip****s like this guy/girl who are destroying this nation. Apparently, according to these idiots, people who work hard, invest their profits, and create new jobs are to be vilified. It is "social justice." Freaking morons.
Satch you know I love ya but geez....

Oh by the way, Pat, could you see your way clear to slinging a little rep my way? I'm trying to figure out whether I can still get rep since I've been banned. Thanks in advance.
