Hello. I see that this thread is a few years old. Anybody have any up to date news on how the city of Globe AZ is doing and the quality of life living there?

It's Globe, it only takes a couple of Hoodlums to throw off the crime statistics in the town

I just finished a tour of Colorado. Most towns are immaculate or at least not decrepit. Good food, beautiful scenery, rivers, trees, yes, trees, and water!

AZ needs to get it figured out.
What is there to figure out? Boom towns will bust. Globe and other small towns like it existed for one reason. Once that reason erodes there is not much left. Unless there is a desire from people looking to repurpose a town, as in Jerome and Bisbee, the point is moot.

Is the Drift Inn still owned by those two women? Did they ever fix up the upstairs? I remember getting the private tour of the upstairs rooms once. Then going to the after party up the hill.
