If The Boring Company were a legitimate thing this would be a great application for it!

My "Plan" calls for a continuation of the SkyTrain / Rental Car Train around the southside of the airport Just south of 9R (underground) (Possible mid future Mid-Field station for Future Mid-Field O&D Concourse. ) Down under 9R/27L 9L/27R and into international Terminal.

This is great news, the Delta lounge at some ATL terminals was extremely crowded, but they expanded them, so that is great news. I had some great food.

A couple Europe adjustments. Delta’s flight to Barcelona is getting extended to year-round instead of seasonal. Athens is running from March to October now, which is several months longer than originally planned.

It (Ethiopian Airlines) has started new routes to Zurich, Amman and Bulawayo since July, Mesfin said, and it is targeting Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Karachi, Copenhagen and Atlanta, part of the drive to double international destinations to 207 by the target year.

"Target year" being 2035 lol, but hopefully service starts a lot sooner if Atlanta is one of the five new long-haul routes being mentioned by name.

Certainly interesting. I wouldn't mind an additional competitive option to going to Singapore.

2035 might be an aspirational reality. They are not that large of an airline in terms of total passengers.

They do fly to Washington, Newark, and Chicago.

The uphill battle I see, while Atlanta is a prime destination in the US for East Africans, it's a star alliance airline. This is why they fly to United hubs. Atlanta will not offer much of an advantage to their global partner network to keep the route full.

This makes me skeptical of an Atlanta route, unless they grow to be a much larger airline turning Addia Ababa Dole into more of a global hub, similar to the middle east 3.

In other news I used the new T gates earlier this months. They are completely taken over by United. I liked it and the experience. I'm glad it is a single 3rd party airline that can take ownership of the space (and hopefully make targeted investments in the future to keep it nice).

It seemed well set up and pleasant. Their boarding queues are along the windows to the side and was not readily apparent at first use, so better signage could help with that. However, it made sense once it was used. I appreciated the tall rotunda and the large amount of natural light.

I hope it gives United a small boost and makes them increase their daily flight options to their hubs. I'm actually Gold status with them, due to the large amount of Star Alliance flights I end up on for global travel, but their local options can be quite limiting. I would not mind them increasing flights.

I know this will never happen, because the T-gate accessed is treasured, however after some further airport renovations I really with United had half the T gates and American had single large contiguous part of the airport for themselves (or vice versa). I don't like the splits between the D gates and T gates, and I want to encourage them to sell limited connections to keep their flights full to deal with demand fluctuations.

This is also better for centralizing larger and better used Club locations for each airline.
