Thanks for your steady work on the forum to keep Clayton news & issues to the fore.
That MARTA-oriented editorial from the Clayton News daily is surprisingly forward-thinking. Perhaps it is indicative of a younger person's perspective.

"My answer to him was simple. If [Cobb] had passed MARTA, you would have been part of the Atlanta region’s public transit network for more than 20 years. Today, it’s highly unlikely Cobb will see rail transit for another 20 years given the sentiment of its electorate and its decision to invest $400 million in a redundant baseball park rather than in a world-class transit system."
But...but...FREEDOM!

Most people don't plan beyond next week, much less 20 years down the road.

Back in? Clayton was never in MARTA, but I hope they approve a full 1% sales tax.

What MARTA should do is cancel the free connections between MARTA and CCT. Make people pay the CCT fare and the MARTA fare and that might make Cobb rethink their strategies. Do the same for Gwinnett County Transit too.

That will just hurt more than it will help. There is already a cost sharing arrangement between the agencies over who gets what fares in the transfers.
