No need to cultivate a fanbase the right way when you can extort the students for ridiculously high athletic fees.

Funny that they'll have the best ballpark with the least amount of fans. Curious to know if the Sun Belt has chosen a site for its championship game? I'd be surprised if it isn't this place.

Lol. Okay as a ballpark, bad as a football stadium.

I'm a huge fan of higher education.

I don't like students involuntarily being extorted for $600 a year to fund an athletic program that has zero support otherwise. This is criminal IMO.

Probably not until they get the stadium completely changed over. What they have now is only Phase 1. Most of the old stands from the Turner Field days haven't been removed yet.

As the mixed-use development around the stadium rises, this would be an excellent place to hold a championship game and maybe even another bowl game.

It also comes with very nice seats and luxury boxes. Students and the band will have benches. GSU's very first game had lost sales because the turnout was overwhelming. Better have lots of ticket windows open for the new stadium's debut. I agree that GSU's ticket prices are too high.

What else is new, corndog? You pretty much feel that anything new within the City is criminal.

You think making $600 mandatory fee for students to support an athletic program which has almost no other fundraising and fan support is a good idea?

Higher education costs have been out of control and things like this certainly don't help. You think the average student receives $600 worth of benefit from propping up this bad football team?
