Lake Travis is at 697 feet!

This is unbelievable and is the highest I've ever seen the lake. Even the Cypress Creek arm is flooded, that is rarely the case.

Not a very good view, but the only webcam that I am aware of:
Lake Travis Webcam

Brady and Llano both have 3" or more of rain forecast for the next week. If that is accurate, Travis will be high for quite some time.

The weather is pretty quiet today. Still cool and overcast with mist but not raining buckets.

I plan to drive around the lake later this evening to get some views.

I think Dec. 1991 is the highest ever for Lake Travis. ~710 feet.

Hey, at least we have a day and a half to dry things out a bit! It is seriously soggy out there; but it could have been 85 degrees and steamy!!!

That is literally how they introduced her to the HoA meeting. "Our engineer fresh from California". Pretending that people from out of state who do not research local weather patterns does not end up causing dangerous issues in engineering is no way to run a railroad.

It's shortsighted and potentially life threatening to be honest.

So while Austin has had 3" to 6" of rain in the same time period, it doesn't reflect the effects on the lakes at all.
Climate Change Deniers will say.. It's just nothing.. regardless of historical data... Meanwhile, the human consequences happening daily from coast to coast that endangers and causes financial losses. WHO gain's by such denials is the question? Insurance/Government inability/denial of investments educate and protect their citizens!

Bottomline~~ Citizen's best vote and yes, maybe have to pay up in order to have BETTER infrastructure to protect them!!

My question is and has always been?..LOW tax demanders.. always want stuff coverages/services..BUT don't want to PAY for it!!

Let's facet..IF you want security and coverages best bewailing to PAY for it! Otherwise...move to the outback and establish some sort of self-sustaining place!! Needing nada from Govn't services!!

The actual forecast is under an inch for the entire basin more or less. The heaviest rain is closer to Austin. The news keep saying 2" to 4", but none of the projection sites show that, at least not across the area. I suppose one or two spots may get that, while the rest is well under <0.5".
