It's pretty easily explained by 25% of the western world being unemployed.

Perhaps a little over simplistic. Unemployment is a feature but looming larger is the cut to services in many countries, termed austerity.

Add that to job insecurity, rising prices all round, unaffordable housing, high personal debt in many instances, a general sense of unease, among a host of other things and it isn't hard to conclude that a particular issue may well become the umbrella covering the malaise out in the community.

What gets me is that the marchers are doing so much harm to their cause. There is so much hostility to what they have done, not sympathy or empathy. It will be even more so if this one tomorrow goes ahead.

It's only matter of time there will be another lockdown orders soon when the weather gets cooler or the massive protests start to take its toll on victims.

The Western world has some of the most ignorant people who would risk their lives just for the sake of having their conveniences restored.

I believe it is 8 cases in the country. Four are returned travellers in quarantine, one is a toddler in Brisbane who has returned from Pakistan and was previously in quarantine in Victoria, one is a case reclassified from Vic to NSW, one is a possible case in NSW, another in Vic is under investigation and then the protestor.

Cabinet have just announced significant easing, 10,000 people can attend sporting events from July 1. (I presume subject to state agreement), increased numbers at funerals, weddings, etc.

In NSW the announcements are coming almost daily. Tomorrow, food courts, 20 people at home or outside, school assemblies from next week.

Seems some agreement at last on state borders. All good news and it is great that sport is back on tv!

Can you explain to me just how mass public transit is safe to use then? Or how the gathering of large crowds at public beaches in FL and CA, and I guess a lot of other US states as well.
Or in Central Park NY.

I would imagine many of those in attendance would be fully aware and are some of the less ignorant people, but as in any mass gathering there will be clowns …..
