My first car was black, cause it was the cheapest one of its kind I could find. I grew to hate it. Showed every speck of dust and dirt. Hard to see it at night, making it more likely that I'd get in an accident. And it was hot as hell in the summer, cause it absorbed sunlight's energy.

Go with the light color. Silver is a lazy man's car color.

I love black color cars! Especially black exterior with black interior. I have owned two black cars. I loved the way they looked when clean and waxed, very elegant. But I would not get another black car for a daily driver. Maybe a black weekend sports car or something that would be garaged most of the time.

No way. My current car is black and my next one certainly won't be. My car is a sauna in the summer. I sweat the second I step in. My seats are black leather as well making it even worse.

I own two black cars and, yes, I would buy another black car.

I've had two, and if my current car had been available in black I would have preferred that over the silver I ended up with. (I bought a new "last year's model," and inventory was limited.) I'll probably replace my current car this year, and I'm hoping for black, with minimal chrome-colored trim.

We do have a garage, and we also get 50 inches of rain a year. I'm not very good about getting the car washed and waxed. Blowing dust is not an issue. I've always thought white cars look dirty sooner than any other; interesting to read the contrary.

I get a new pickup every six months, but I don't get to choose the colors.

I like red the best but we haven't gotten any in several years.

Black shows everything, is dirty as soon as you leave the car wash and hotter than hll in the summer.

White stays clean longer and is cooler.

Silver, you never need to wash a silver truck. Nuff said.

I said I never would and I still bought one anyway. My biggest complaint is on both the GM's I've had is they use a white primer, every little chip sticks out.

I understand this is a production line but you would think they would be able to add tinting the primer into the process. At the very least using a more neutral color like gray.

I have cars of many colors, and the easiest to maintain is red. I have a red car that even when its dirty, looks clean.

Never again. It gets too hot, but worse, the color fades quickly unless you take constant, excellent care of it, and that's expensive (for me). When the color fades, dust shows up very easily as well.

I loved that car, though.
