No, I don't race. I'm simply an auto enthusiast.

I'd look to what aftermarket companies are out there for solid modding. Let's face it, doesn't really matter how fast your car is when you leave the lot; in time it will seem to lose some snap ( only in perception ) leading you to want MORE MORE MORE.

I've seen companies now working on Challengers, and know there are ones specializing in Vettes ( which means versions of their blowers, etc should be fitted to the new 'Maros ). I dont know what's out there for Fords, just don't follow that marquee much.

If it was my dime, I'd look for a solid platform then light it up with aftermarket goodies ( which could include "factory" mods ). If you can "pay to play", then may as well have something a bit more unique when you roll up to the light..... especially if your ride doesn't have all the factory visuals of the hi-po models. Sleepers can be a joy.
As those of us from the "old days" can get a good feel for a car listening to the lope of the cam, etc while the youngsters out there may not. Of course that can go both ways, my luck i'd pick on some little dropped hatch not knowing his 400hp is gonna smack me around like a weak sparring partner...

My background and the vehicles that I own or have owned are irrelevant to this discussion and not something that I wish to post. In the context of this forum, I am an automotive enthusiast who enjoys talking about cars.

I understand what you're trying to do. I simply have no desire to tell you about myself or the "Kia" in my garage. Neither are part of this thread that we both choose to participate in. If this was a thread asking about our automotive backgrounds or garage contents, you wouldn't find me in it.

well I wanted to know if I was chatting (butting heads??) with a 14 year old high school student or an adult with automotive background. That's a fair question isn't it?

Too bad the Stock Infiniti G37 is faster in the 0-60 and about half the price with twice the luxury. I was a major Porsche enthusiast before owning the G37. Now my opinion is they are way over priced for what they deliver.
