I'm probably going to date myself a bit, but let's see who's flown on what.
Can't say I like anyone the best, but I have no love for United or Air India. Some of the regional carriers in Latin America felt like things were held together with duct tape and chewing gum, but that was probably in my head. Getting a glass of wine and something that resembles a meal in coach on most of the foreign airlines is always nice.

** I was in Hawaii at Hickam AFB when Aloha and American Trans Air ceased operations in 2008. Big chaos.
My GF at the time flew this into MSY in the 80s, Northeastern, a Fort Lauderdale-based carrier.

Some small planes, the only one I can rememebr was a Gulfstream (Gulfair?) turboprop; and some Brazilian made propeller driven thing that I could not fit my legs behind the seat in front of me and the to leave them our int he asile.
A better question is what is the most obscure airline you have flown on? In my case, it is Icelandair back in college. Stopped at Reykjavik on its way to Europe somewhere, maybe Brussels. Not sue what they are doing now.
I've worked for over 15 years as an international consultant for an engineering company often time going to remote locations so I'm sure it's over 100 different airlines in 5 continents. I just flew Sri Lankan Airlines to Maldives and they were excellent.

They still are around, yes. And yes, they do still have stopovers in Reykjavik to NA/Europe, and last time I knew it was free to do so
To all of you who have done this as well, I know you'll grin.
All others, won't have a clue....
