Haha! We used to call these "Grandma Planes" because this is how we flew from Hickam to Christchurch to see my grandma when I was a kid.
We always used to eat beef stroganoff. ugh. Couldn't eat it for years.
But the guys used to give us kids baggies of goodies and a set of earplugs. Thank goodness for those earplugs!

United 747; Chicago to Newark red eye departed at midnight and only had 14 passengers including myself.
We used to to fly LHR to JFK on Pan AM and TWA a lot. I don't remember any flights with 14 people, but when there were full rows of center seats open, there were no shorter flights.
