I know it's pretty much a pick your poison situation, but I am curious to hear the opinion of someone who probably watches both of these teams more often than I do.

Well I guess it's irrelevant to speculate now...

Bring on the Royals!

Personally I'd rather see the Jays.

Sorry for the late reply, been living life away from computers. Went for a nice hike yesterday, really enjoyed the completely non digital time, gotta smell the roses ya know!

Nice! Glad you had fun!

Yeah, I am scared of this Royals team. They don't strike out and hit well against power pitching, which doesn't make for a good matchup for us.

Stop trippin' (African American language)! It's still a game and will always be...just a game nothing more, nothing less and you know this scientist!

I believe that the Mets were the first of the 1960s expansion teams to win a WS when they upset our beloved Birds in 1969. Local boy Ron Swoboda -- Sparrows Point -- hit .400 for the Mets in the series and made an incredible catch to save one of the games. Ironic given the fact that he was a notoriously poor fielder.

Indeed they were!

And this current WS is the first WS between two expansion teams ever, which is pretty cool. It's nice to see some new teams in there for a change.

Agree, but although the Cubbies are not new, the poor things haven't been to the WS since 1492.
