Well, there is a quality difference between the Padres lineup and the Giants batters.

It was a very good game today, until SF broke it open in the 8th. Then it was a pretty good game for Giants fans.

LA got to add four more innings to their run prevention streak, so it was 40 innings, or 120 outs this year before they gave up a run.

Not so surprising. They have three and a half starting pitchers, and the three did well. Hopefully Wood and/or Stripling and/or someone can fill the final two spots.

I really feel bad for Stripling. He had a shut out going until he was pulled out and the reliever let the Giants hit a home run and eventually win the game. Still for his first major league appearance he did great.

He had a no hitter going when he was removed.

Glad my Dodgers won last night, but watching MLB Network we were forced to listen to Bob Costas instead of Vin Scully. On the 4th inning I muted the sound.

Dodgers fan here. I'm not worried yet because the season is SO very long and what's the point in winning the division if you're going to get knocked out of the playoffs.

Kershaw looks good so far. Maeda looks too good to be true. I have a feeling the league will start hitting against him better but the important thing is he's winning us games when we need a big # 2. Not crazy about Kazmir. Stripling I'd be surprised last all season long. Hopefully RYU can come back because we need him.

Not worried about the offense right now either. Offense can get hot any second.

I agree Maeda looks like a superstar, but remember how great Puig was in his first year? We shall see.

Dodgers beat Toronto today 6-2. Pretty good game by the Dodgers.

Kershaw throws a 3 hit shutout last night against the Mets. Brings me to this question.

If you get to sign either Jake Arrieta or Clayton Kershaw to a 5 year deal, who would you rather sign? My pick is Kershaw, due to body of work throughout his career. There is some talk that Arrieta might be using PED's, not saying he is, but there are some who say he might be.

There is no such talk of that with Clayton Kershaw.
