Slightly higher than our fair share, but we also send way more than our fair share to DC to a point where plenty of states are mooching off of us, so I dont mind 15% of cash assistance recipients being from CA.
Except that about 1.5 million in California receive public assistance not 500,000. Which again works out to 33% not "15%"
!

This does not include the federal TANF program. This needs to be factored in as well.

Moving eastward! Californians move eastward, the Chinese nationals move eastward to California?

40% of the buyers in Las Vegas are Chinese, and what's the estimate for Chinese buyers in CA? 20-25%?

Within time, the Chinese move further eastward, replaced by the buyers from India? Another eastward movement?

Eventually, then, they will all end up in the original place, yes? (Apologies to the Flat Earth Society)

But yes, there is a significant Chinese investment run on real estate in CA metros.

You're in good company! The sky is falling on Long Island, NY too and has been for at least 35 years now!

You would think the expats who come to the LI CD forum to regularly harass the current LI residents with news of this should be grateful to LI that they can move well before retirement age to Southland, USA to 6 BR/7 BA McMansions mortgage-free with cash to spare due to all the equity they racked up on their LI homes that they sold at a very hefty profit.

But, alas, the ingrates only come to the LI forum to tell us how LI is "done" and is now a horrible, declining place and that we are idiots to continue to live here!

Although all I see is more upper middle and middle class families buying homes at ever increasing prices, they insist all decent humans are fleeing ... much like I see is happening to you guys in California ...

I stand in solidarity with you! Defend your home!

What really is annoying is when they DO move to Southland, USA or wherever and they keep coming back to your forum to harass the people who stayed and keep on putting down your home!

New York and New York City in particular get a lot of haters too, especially people who have never set foot within the boundaries. We are d__n Yankees, the worst of the worst, to some types!
