Looks like crews getting in there now. Looks like what'd you'd expect with leaves covering everything and scattered trees down many places there. Not seeing/hearing lot of home damage but don't know where the water got to. Palmetto Bay Marina apparently had many of their docks and the boats attached to them pushed up onshore....that's on one of the Harbor River sections between Hilton Head and Harbour Town.
Winds seem to be dying down a tad thankfully. I think Summerville will have some homes damaged from canal flooding. Last time it flooded many homes had to restore first floors. Ashborough subdivision
had a lot of homes damaged as well from flooding.
More specifically, what's the likelihood of power being restored when my vacation rental starts on Wednesday?
That is if the house is habitable. Am I being optimistic here? being on the edge of the eyewall sound pretty ominous.
Crews are just getting into Edisto Beach. At least 3 homes gone. Sand covering a lot of roads. Other homes appear to maybe just be minor damage but hard to tell when not in person. They're making their way down that strip still. More news should come out of there tonight and tomorrow. Beach front house 114 Palmetto Blvd on Edisto Beach is confirmed gone but houses next to it standing.
We have heard many people are getting back to Mount Pleasant. But don't know where they are exactly coming from.
