Okay . . . Chicago. I used to own every one of their albums - that is the music I grew up with.

For road music, tho . . . I don't usually include much Chicago. When driving TO NC to see my DH (he was back in NC on assignment for 1.5 years!!!!), I always had "Wishing You Were Here." At home, it was a song I would play to keep myself bolstered on long stretches apart.

"And I'd like to change my life, and you know I would, just to be with you tonight baby If I could . . . But I've my job to do, and I do it well . . .So I guess that's how it ends. Wishing you were here . . .(repeat) . . . On the road, it's a heavy load, but I'll be by (wishing you were here) . . . Pay the price, make the sacrifice, and still I'll try (wishing you were here)."

And "You're My Inspiration" (You're the meaning in my life; you're the inspiration . . . No one needs you more than I need you . . . When you love somebody til the end of time . . . ). Used to play that a lot while we were apart.

Looks like while I slipped away to watch Idol w/ the kids you guys had a ball. Thanks for reminding me of some GREAT songs. I'm singing and whistleing here. One of my favorite driving songs is Ventura Highway. Like Brian said, I have a vision of a place on the road whenever I hear it.

The muppets, I used to love the 2 old guys. I remember 1 skit where they were up in a balcony box and one of them accidently fell out of the box and the other one looks over and yells, hey, while your down there get me some popcorn! Actually, that's the only one I remember, but it was funny.

George Thorogood & the Delaware Detroyers are great on 95 from Philly to Wilmington (DE), 295 in South Jersey, or on the Schuylkill Expressway.
