I lived in Detroit 16 years, Buffalo 11, and been in Clt for 6. I will take today over a February day in Buffalo anytime. I would rather it be 99 than -9, and yes I say that when it's 99 degrees out.

Im not trying to spin it or defend the area today was not what I consider a hot day the humidity wasnt even bad. Meet me here late july because lol I will not be outdoors. Im not sure if they use a heat index in the northern states but it often used here and the humidity will add about 5 degrees to the real temperature.

To me I know it hot when I can feel the heat radiate off the window panes
and base on news 14 forcast friday looks like a day I would consider hot anything less than 92 is summer comfort weather to me except at night.

Just becareful when the summer isolated thunderstorms appear this state ranks in the top 5 for lightening deaths.

heh...the good thing is you can always go inside. Believe me winter heating bills are alot higher than summer cooling too. I just think after 85 , you use your head and stay inside. Its really from about 2 to 6 that it gets to me. yea, and where ARE all those t-storms I hear about. My homestate (Connecticut got more than ths...soooo dry. low humidity though, at least thus far.)

OH YES. And believe me, those things come off before I can even shut the front door! It doesn't look right to wear a biz suit with no hose IMO. Some outfits I can get away with it, but most I don't try.

This time of year kind of makes you mad at the Car jackers because you cannot push those auto start car keychain buttons to get the airconditioner going. (due to that law about leaving a car running with no one in it) Nothing can be finer than opening your car door and that heat blast shoots out of the car then you fry your fingers on the steering wheel. hehe

I guess this is like nothing for LuvMountains and other gulf states including florida.
I learn two years ago why Ft. Lauderdale has off season rates during 4th of July week lol I felt like a walking bake potatoe. I got a tan in 10 minutes though but was red in 15 minutes hehe.

I think Californians probably have more challenge to the heat in this area just due to the dry heat they have.
