Now you know why I'm chilly when it's below 85 Now the Winters are here are tough for me.
There is so much to do in the summer...I don't relish hot weather but it is good to sweat and be active. Stay hydrated. Sweating also helps burn calories and lose excess water weight and clears your body of toxins.
We go to the pool, plan on Carowinds, various things uptown, fishing, maybe the mountains, headed out to the beach for a weekend etc. When it is cold it is cold and you can't go outside when there is a ton of snow but heat you can.
Well , resident I do agree,,,to an extent. However, except taking weekend trips, or sitting by the pool, Iwould not agree there is a ton to do..lets face it, extreme heat or cold make it tough for you to do outdoor activities..The weather here is better because in the heat you can do things in the morning or at dusk..in the cold you are SOL all day.
I moved from SC and also lived in MD/DC area for many years..while SC is HOT HOT HOT it is hotter than MD/DC and here, it is a lot more humid where we were and the season was long...it was hot in March up until December and sometimes it was even very mild then. In MD/DC it was hot in the summer, June/July and August were pretty hot and humid..many days some would consider too hot to go outside.
If it wasn't hot what would you do outside? I don't know...I guess there are things you just have to look. There are also skating rinks, ice rinks, malls, discovery place, a few museums etc..
Here a internet video clip that will give you a idea of various weather formats in the area given by a former weatherman and you will see why he is former lol More Mark Mathis! - Viral Videos - IFILM
