For me it stinks cause I'd rather go into a store and buy direct with the research on the net and kinda take the salespersons advice with a "grain of salt" but still take the item home with me, but times are changing and Best Buy will die!
It was a couple days before payday when I bought this monitor - the one I'm looking at right now as I'm typing this. I had no cash and less then ten dollars in my bank account. Nonetheless, I walked into Best Buy in Matteson and took it home with me. It was charged to my Best Buy credit card account. If I ever have any problems with this monitor, I can trust the Geek Squad to fix it at no further cost under warranty.

On the internet, you have to pay the full price immediately AND wait for it to ship. And the warranty sucks.

I don't mean to sound like a broken record but it's true. You are right that you should take a salesperson's advice with a grain of salt.
