as for Wrightwood Neighbors, it's a legitimate neighborhood in the sense it's been around for 40+ years, has an active association, regular meetings open to the public (critical), etc.

West DePaul is just stupid. Students are by definition transient, and there aren't enough professors who are homeowners to claim that turf IMO. More importantly, I will guarantee you that 75% of the people + living in that area have absolutely nothing to do with DePaul.

that one is borderline criminal - they had a Trib story a few years back about people who had rented in that "neighborhood" coming from out-of-state who then felt totally ripped off when they realized it wasn't the area they were expecting.

That's an interesting area to me. It's not quite a fit with the rest of Lincoln Park and Lakeview to the East, but doesn't seem to have its own identity as a neighborhood. It's got a gritty feel in some parts but has been a victim of rampant teardowns.

The intersection is in the Lincoln Park community area, but the neighborhood it is in certainly is not Lincoln Park.
