It's a hoot watching these crockpots bellyache about being forced to actually put their professed "sanctuary" values into practice. You're damn right it's about politics for Abbott -- you and your political cohorts have made his own back yard an illegal immigrant dumping ground for nakedly political ends; he's just returning the favor after his very same pleas for help were ignored and even mocked for months and he was left with no other practical option. And now you and Lightfart and Bowser et al. have smacked yourselves in the face by pouncing right on the hypocrisy rakes he scattered under your feet.

I'm not sure what makes them angrier: having to put their (ours really) money where their mouths are, or knowing they're being totally punk'd by Abbott and can't do a thing about it but whine.

Surely you aren't serious? It's an obvious move based entirely on the root cause of this disaster. By NO means is it politicized but rather placing the pariah on those that caused this absurd disaster in the first place. It was under near perfect control until a certain senile old man who got into the position of president, allowed the flood gates of illegals to flow into our country. Subverting all law and reason let alone allowing not just undocumented but UN vaccinated potential spreaders of all manner of disease coupled with a plethora of known drug dealers and their trafficker's to enter the country unabated. I don't recall Texas receiving "reasonable notice" on the invasion that they're getting. They're estimated to receive 2 MILLION illegal immigrants JUST THIS MONTH. A new record.

These sanctuary cities/counties are receiving only a drip from the flood that is coming in. Here's hope that Abbott starts working out deals with Amtrak to Chicago, DC, NYC, and California cities.

a) The Biden Puppeteers have been clandestinely "bussing" illegals north for almost two years now. ...Why is it acceptable if the Feds do it and not the GOP governors?

2) Most of these immigrants were going to wind up in these northern cities anyway if merely released and left to their own devices.
