Sorry, but if a bunch of refugees knocked on your door with no warning at all, would you be ready with food and beds for them? I don't think anybody would. That stuff takes some planning.

I do agree though, many, many rich people just throw money at issues and don't want to personally deal with it.
Refugees don't announce their arrival beforehand and let people know that they will be needing accommodation.

So, your argument is 100% fail. Just LOL, seriously.

Of course they don't. Which is exactly why DeSantis did this....to own the libs. That was the only point of this exercise. Only by doing so, he used human pawns.

That is my argument, and it's 100% pass

Why do I have a feeling they would have said no, and made a bunch of excuses?

Immigrants are just not supposed to live in these rich progressive communities who so embrace diversity and inclusion. I mean compare Oak Park, perhaps our area equivalent to Martha's Vineyard, at 9.5% Hispanic, to direct neighbors Berwyn (62.5%) and Cicero (90%). It's ok to work there but once you're done, get out, LOL!

I'm no fan of DeSantis and yes, this has politics written all over it. But, as my grampy used to say, sometimes even bullies have a lesson to teach.

There is definitely a lot of truth to this.

Similarly, just take your average person. They may donate to a cause or vote for diversity, but then flinch at a young black man walking toward them, or avoid the homeless man on the corner.

libs are the ones using them and then they want nothing to do with them.

Systemic racism is not a bunch of Trump supporters. It's what you just described. So the virtue signaling, if you understand that, is really infuriating. I mean really infuriating.

I like what DeSantis did here. I know you disagree and that's fine. We can disagree. I am really glad he exposed hypocrisy. Will any good come of this? I don't know. But it's always good to bring attention to the problem so it can be open for discussion.

Nobody was tricked And yes you made it clear you seemed happy about the poor innocent hurricane victims. You also did not answer my question which I knew you wouldn't.

Read what I said and answer me if you can that would be appreciated?

Once again who is the bully and can you prove it? Who is eating crow and again can you prove it?

Why should anyone ask for money from biden? Should he not give it to these innocent poor people now suffering?

And it was proven Marthas Vineyard are hypocrites. Carma as you spell it. wow so you think these people in florida deserve to lose everything?

Would love it if you answered these and all the other questions I asked earlier?
