OK, well the only other time LSD has been moved was to create the museum campus..this is an entirely different area and purpose.

Yea, its definitely exciting. Now, the timetables they've laid down are incredibly agressive...I dont see it happening...and the funding for any of this is far from certain. But its good to see some of these initiatives coming forward...even if I probably will be a grey haired old man once its halfway complete.

Notice how so many of these projects are scheduled to be completed by 2016? Hmm, I seem to recall some kind of big event that may occur in Chicago then.

I obviously realized that. But assuming we get the Olympics is a big IF. And even if we do, the timetable is still very aggressive for some of these larger projects.

I still also dont quite get where this supposed funding would be coming from, when the city is already close to broke

Part of the 'genuis' of creating unnecessary TIFs in the loop depleting tax revenue into the general fund.

I honestly don't believe the timetables for these projects either. I think its a way to try to snooker the Feds into giving money using the Olympics as an excuse.

Ugh. All I can think of is the traffic nightmare that will be caused by unnecessary construction on LSD.
