The Bible says: The Earth is flat!

Look at the references to all of those Bible verses that assert that the Earth is flat and has four corners! Can we really believe this? How is this supposed to be interpreted?

Wow, just wow...

That link is nonsense. Did you really look at the link? It is paraphrasing verses with different words in it to mean somehting different, clearly written by someone with an agenda.

Not even worth wasting the time to refute...

Well, I compared the quotes with what I see in my Holy Bible (New Revised Standard Edition), and it's quite accurate. And laughable. I also think it's crazy how Exodus advocates slavery.

Consider the source. It was written by a Muslim trying to disprove the Bible.

Isaiah 40:22It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Seems the Bible also says that the earth is round.

So what's the story? The four corners of the earth is obviously alluding to the readers in how they look at the map of the world.

Nice try but the Bible says the Earth is a circle. A circle is a round object with two flat sides. Does that accurately describe the Earth...which is a sphere?

Yes! the four corners are the four directional points of reference, north/south/east west...
This has been addressed a few times...yet we tend to ignore it. Debate is what posters gravitate to, making this forum fun...without this factor...a thread would die a natural death...

Havent' you noticed?

Peace!

The bible also says all creatures will confess that Jesus is the Lord

Do you believe that too?

Does the heaven stretches out as a curtain describe the Aurora borealis?

And yet from that circle of the earth: the North Pole: we get this as the top of the world as a global sphere.

We see that now: who knows how those that read the Bible then sees it.

Psalm 8:8The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

It was this verse that someone discovered that there were regular currents in the sea.

Matthew Fontaine Maury "Pathfinder Of Sea" Psalms 8

So reread Isaiah 40:22 because it is declaring the global sphere of the earth at the top of the world where the Aurora borealis is located.
