So why don't people living in Australia fall off 'cause they're upside down?

I don't know what you all are arguing about. The earth is flat. End of story.

Same reason we in the US don't slide down. lol

Anyway, you mentioned that a circle is flat. It is also round. The Bible writers weren't saying the earth was flat, they were saying that it's round.

It is an entirely wrong description. If the Bible authors really did know the shape of the Earth they would not have used the word 'Chuwg'. The Hebrew word for a ball was 'Duwr' and that word was used on other verses in the Bible, Isaiah 22:18 for example:

"He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball (Duwr) into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house."

If the shape of the Earth was known to the authors, 'Duwr' is the word they would have used. As far as I am aware there was no specific word for 'sphere'.

The word they did use, "Chuwg", describes a circle shape something like a plate or a coin.

There are also quite a few biblical verses that describe the Earth as having 'ends' or 'edges' which a sphere does not have but a two dimensional flat shape does.

..and what about:

"Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?"
Job 38:44

How do you stretch a measuring line 'across' a sphere? If the author knew that the Earth was spherical he would have written...

"Who stretched a measuring line around it?"

There is no doubt IMO that the Bible indicates a flat Earth.

Look at the references to all of those Bible verses that assert that the Earth is flat and has four corners! Can we really believe this? How is this supposed to be interpreted?
I can only think of one word to describe this:

COMEDY

Thanks, I needed a good laugh!

If they thought it were flat, how come there is no mention of people being afraid they would fall off? I've seen no concern of animals falling off either or the mention of water running off of the earth.

hahahahahahaha. I love you people so much. I asked my 3 yr. old daughter if the moon is flat or round, and she said, "Hooha, that's funny Papa!" "Why is that funny Sweetpea?," I said. Without hesitation she answered saying, "Because Daddy my head is round and the moon has a face on it!"
